Senior Fisheries Biologist

- Ability to lead, manage and execute fisheries and aquatic resource-related studies, including design and implementation of fisheries assessments, habitat assessments, fish population analyses, fish passage assessments, instream flow studies, benthic macroinvertebrate bioassessments, and aquatic restoration efforts.
- This person will also oversee fisheries and aquatic resource data analyses and provide quality assurance/quality control.
- Other responsibilities may include building and maintaining client relations, leading pursuits of upcoming project work, preparation of scopes and budgets, strategic planning, and mentoring/supervising junior and mid-level staff.
- Bachelor's degree plus 10 years’ experience or Master’s or PHD with a minimum of seven years of experience.
- Candidates should be well-versed in issues related to coastal/marine, aquatic ecology with strong knowledge and experience with projects involving freshwater and anadromous fish species, as well as preparation of CEQA, NEPA, and ESA/CESA compliance documents. Knowledge and experience with FERC processes is also desired.
