Safety Senior Manager – MS518758627

We have an immediate opportunity for a Natural Gas Senior Safety Manager for the Los Angeles area. This Safety and Compliance Manager is required to have OSHA 30 training at a minimum. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and technical assistance to supervisors and managers in all departments and job sites. This individual will be responsible for evaluating and correcting health and safety hazards, risk assessment, and mitigations through Audits and Inspections.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide and document safety training for employees in addition to compliance training and or operator qualification evaluations.
  • Experience using incident tracking system for trending purposes and maintaining incident reports.
  • Maintain a work site inspection (audit) system for the purpose of providing management with all non-compliance and/or safety issues observed in the field.
  • Manage various safety program pre-qualifying platforms.
  • Monitor all aspects of the Federal and State DOT (FMCSA, PHMSA, etc.) and provide oversite, support, and assistance to employees, supervisors, and management.
  • Provide safety related administrative support as needed to supervisors and/or employees.
  • Investigate and determine root cause of all incidents.  Determine the preventative measures or lesson learned and forward to management as well as enter same in the (Incident Reporting System) for tracking and trending purposes and using the same information which will generate a Safety Alert and submit to management to share with all subordinates.
  • Maintain OSHA 301, 300, and 300A forms as required.
  • Manage the Company Safety Team and ensure that the safety staffing needs of both the Company and its customers are adequate, on all projects, sites, and/or locations as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with Federal DOT managing Company’s Drug & Alcohol Programs.
  • Manage all work-related employee injury claims including managing the worker’s compensation claims.
  • Manage and review all Job Safety Agreements and ensure maintain proper recordkeeping.
  • Coordinate and assist with Monthly Safety Training Sessions.
  • Review and monitor Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to assure compliance and provide Hazard Communication and SDS training for all employees.
  • Some travel required out of state, no more than 20%.
  • INS, Veriforce, and Obqual software experience required.
