Estimator – DD12755592

Well established Manufacturer in the Sacramento County area has an immediate opening for an experienced Packaging Estimator. Ideal candidate will have excellent customer service, good math aptitude, and project management skills.  Previous package estimating required.
 
Responsibilities
  • Assist the Sales and Client service teams with all estimating needs, striving for a 24-hour turnaround time.
  • Generate accurate estimates utilizing system standards and work instructions for materials, labor, pricing, and equipment capabilities (internal & external).
  • Become proficient with the Amtech software estimating engine and related Cost Estimation Reports.
  • Develop a thorough comprehension of equipment capabilities within the internal divisions and supporting suppliers.
  • Maintain fluent communication with operators and production supervisors to determine accurate and efficient estimating standards and provide feedback to Estimating Coordinator for purposes of updating system standards.
  • Understand raw material costing and the relationship to price structure and availability.
  • Assist Sales personnel with offering flexibility and competitive pricing options to the market.
  • Work with the Technical team in determining job execution and resulting costs that correspond to the estimate.
  • Analyze cost / routing variations from the original estimates and new item meetings, and review with Estimating Coordinator.
  • Incorporate shipping needs into the estimate in compliance with shipping standards.
  • Advise sales staff on product styles, order lots, and other product options.
  • Work directly with vendors on estimates requiring printing plates, die boards or outside purchases.
  • Source competitive pricing for outside material and/or services.
 
Skills & Qualifications
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Visual ability to work with box designs and final product.
  • Packaging experience required.
  • Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Outlook
  • AMTECH software
 
Upon a conditional job offer, a drug test and background check will be required
Compensation based on experience
$24-$35/hour
