Biological Monitoring Opportunities

We are seeking all levels of Biologists in different areas of California who have 1 to 12 years of Biological professional field monitoring experience.

VARIOUS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
Experience with the identification of protected and endangered species native to California. 
Working Knowledge of GPS, Tablet and Mobile Data Tools
Ability to work both independently and with others
Experience monitoring for linear infrastructure construction projects
Ability to work long hours walking over rough terrain and in variable weather conditions
Perform biological monitoring at construction sites to implement mitigation measures to avoid disturbances to endangered and protected species
Conduct field surveys
Record data for scientific and compliance purposes using company forms and established field methodology
Ability to read maps
Prepare daily progress/monitoring reports as needed by the project
 
VARIOUS DEGREES & SKILLS
Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree in Biology, Ecology, or other related degree
Previous construction monitoring experience in similar California environments
Must be able to provide information on past projects and work history demonstrating previous experience serving as an agency-approved monitor
Knowledge of local, state, and federal environmental regulations
Team player
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel) and project tracking software and databases
 
Biological monitoring positions typically pay between $25 to $40 per hour; Compensation based on experience.
