NEW! – Senior Structural Project Engineer

We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Structural Project Engineer in Orange County.  This is an excellent growth opportunity for a self-directed Civil Engineer who is eager to take on new challenges.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for knowledge and execution of the technical aspects and deliverables of projects.
  • This position will serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering.
  • Proficiency with ETABS, SAFE, Perform 3D, RAM Structural System and Ensoft.
  • Experience with planning and developing activities.
  • Develop a partnership with the PM. The PM is responsible for the scope, schedule, budget, and client management. This position will be responsible for the technical execution of the project.
  • Assign project tasks and provide technical guidance to the project team members.
  • Coordinate and perform quality checks and reviews for all project deliverables per the Quality Management Systems requirements, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform quality checks and reviews of projects from other teams as needed.
  • Ability to work independently and direct, mentor, and train Electrical Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and Drafters.
  • Ability to work on and lead multiple projects concurrently.
  • Assist with developing technical papers and/or presentations that showcase your technical capabilities at industry events.
 
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Civil or Structural required; Master's preferred.
  • Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for California.
  • 10 years plus of structural engineering experience as it relates to building design.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar software.
  • Design calculations and layouts experience required designing details for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Gravity and lateral analysis understanding required.
  • Experience working in an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm desired.
  • Previous experience consulting or working for an electric utility considered a plus.

Compensation based on experience.
$133,000-$190,000/yr
